Gossip Girl Fashion "It Girl Interrupted"

Now, One thing I forgot to mention is that I am a pretty big Gossip Girl fan!

I actually first discovered the Gossip Girl books in about 2005, then was incredibly excited when I discovered they were creating a TV show.

I eagerly waited for the show to air here in New Zealand, which took forever, But finally it did.
after seeing the first episode I wanted more so I check on the every reliable Amazon, and pre-ordered my DVD of season one (Due to be released in 2 weeks - that's right 2 weeks after it aired in New Zealand talk about being behind the times!)

So the DVD arrived, and my endless love for the show began.

My favourite character has always been Blair Waldorf.
I not sure if I could pin-point why but I think it has something to do with her attitude, her presence, and her clothes.

This latest episode did not let me down! (check out her two beautiful dresses)

This here is the dress Blair is seen in near the start of the episode, and when I first saw it I was amazed at it's beauty, I immediately found my iPhone and began the Google search of where this beautiful work of art had come from...
low and behold I found it!
from Peter Som...
for $1,594...
that's $1,936 New Zealand...
(I did begin trying to justify this cost to MyLove... he wasn't convinced a dress should ever cost that much)

and then I saw...
The (almost) final scene...
(It is rather cute - and if you haven't seen it yet you should go and watch it right away- no spoilers here (except in terms of the clothing - sorry))

Blair's pink princess dress....

So again the Google search began, but I didn't have far to look as I suspected the designer...
and indeed it was Oscar De La Renta

This beautiful gown is yours to own from only $18,475...

Safe to say MyLove said NO.

But hey, agirlwithsomeclothes can keep dreaming...
