Here's some old photos I found, from the day I received my gold nail art foil from Born Pretty Store...

The nail polish I used is China Glaze Ruby Pumps and the gold foil, like I said above is from Born Pretty Store. and a top coat of Seche Vite (my Favourite!)

So this Money Smart Nail  art competition got me thinking...

and the majority of my nail art I do is by using things around the home...

It has only been in the more recent times that I have learnt about, and bought different nail art tools and supplies...

so on that note, here's another nail art trick that I had been wanting to try for sometime...

It's making "nail art stickers" or transfers... (You know, like Sally Hansen does)

This is a great way to make a really details precise design without having to try and paint directly onto your nails and smudging it everywhere!

This is what your end result may look something like...
For this I used,
Revlon White on White Nail polish
Revlon Revlon Red Nail Polish
OPI A Roll in the Hague Nail Polish
3-4 Toothpicks
Seche Vite Top Coat
Tweezers and cotton buds with nail polish remover for clean up.

Here's an over view of the tutorial (for those who want to avoid the photo bomb!)
a more detailed tutorial as follows....

And here's a little bit of detail!

I hope you found this useful!

So I heard about this cool nail art competition "Money Smart Nail Art"
It's all about using house hold items and doing cool nail art on a cheap, low, low budget...

And boy, do I love doing that!!!

I have been wanting to try making "nail art stickers" for a while... these are small shapes that are stuck onto the nail. This technique provides really crisp lines, and means you can do cool overlap/overlay designs (like my awesome Thumb Nail!)
Plus, I'd just received some new China Glaze nail polishes I wanted to try...

For this I used: Revlon White on White
China Glaze Solar Power (Yellow)
China Glaze Tree Huger (Green)
China Glaze Code Orange (Orange)

And my household items were:
- Toothpick
- Plastic sheet (I used a clear file page)
- Nail polish (you can use as many or as little colours as you want)
-Scissors
and Nail Polish Top Coat

Well I hope you enjoy the tutorial... sorry it's so very long, I didn't want you to miss out any important details...

And the overall result should look something like....

You saw my pink and purple gradient nails... This is the outfit I wore them with...

A bit plain and grey but the nails spice it up!

Dress: Max
Cardigan: Glassons
Leggings: Glassons
Bag: Australian Market
Shoes: Briarwood

Hope you like ;)
