Pattern Review: Woolen Vest by Little Kiwi's Closet

Pattern Review
Woolen Vest by Little Kiwi's Closet

Today I decided to try a new pattern. The woolen vest by Little Kiwi's Closet.

I've been a part of little kiwis closet Facebook page for some time now and keep seeing the cutest photos of other people's woollen vests. So decided to try my own!
Tiny Knight 🤴 had been loving this woven fabric for such a long time but I was never sure what to sew for him as I usual sew with knit.

This is a free pattern which you can download from the little kiwis closet website. If you're after bigger sizes and other options then check out the "Little Wanderers vest and coat"
Mine is actually made out of black fleece and cotton poplin woven.
I actually don't like touching wool, and didn't have any wool (short of cutting up a blanket), plus fleece is so much cheaper!
*Fleece shouldn't be used for baby clothing when babies will be unattended as babies cannot regulate their temperature. Tiny Knight will only be wearing this when going outside for walks so should be fine.

This pattern was surprisingly easy to sew despite looking complicated and sophisticated. The instructions and pictures provided by Lydia (little Kiwi's Closet) are easy to follow.
Best of all, this pattern is reversible, which Tiny Knight loves as he can show of this epic fabric!
This pattern can be sewn on a regular sewing machine as it's designed for non-stretch fabrics.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised with how easy this was to sew and would highly recommend -even for beginners.
